Taylor Brock, a junior at SUNY Delhi, has joined the Cornell Turfgrass Team as a summer intern and research aide.
Brock will assist with a research project evaluating the effects of rolling on turfgrass, particularly its impact on organic matter buildup and crabgrass.
Originally from Candor, New York, he studies Golf Course Turf Management at SUNY Delhi. He previously interned as a groundskeeper at Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York and plays on SUNY Delhi’s collegiate golf team.
“I’m really looking forward to participating in research and being home with my family,” he said. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a master’s degree and a career in turfgrass research. When he’s not golfing, Brock enjoys fly fishing.
